Anchor Bay Bar and Grill llc is located on the Wisconsin River and was started by Dennis and Doris Moon in 2007. The Bar and Grill is built on the same land were Dennis grew up. Dennis' parents, Vic and Barb, lived there for 42 years. Dennis and Doris built a propeller repair business next to his parents house in 1991 and owned that for 16 years. Always having the idea of starting a bar in this location, he sold the propeller business and tore down the house leaving only the fireplace which is now the center of attraction on those cold winter days. While clearing the spot for the bar, all the wood from the trees went to the saw mill and is now enjoyed by all who visit, whether it be as the tops of the tables or the top of the bar or on the walls and ceiling. You will more than likely find one member of the Moon family here at any given time, from Dennis bartending, Doris hosting, David cooking, Vic or Barb doing a little public relations or Danielle rolling silverware.
